Whale Watching
Whale WatchingWith its many coastal views, the Royal National Park is an ideal place for whale watching. Whales can be spotted travelling along the east coast from June to September, migrating to the warmer northern waters of Australia to breed. From August to December they can be seen with their new calves, slowly heading south again to feed in the waters off Antartica.

The two main species sighted are the Southern Right Whale and the Humpback Whale, both of which have been seen more abundantly in recent years.
