 In the late 1800s, Audley was the first place in the Royal National Park to become a popular Sydney Day Trip destination. The area's mud flats were transformed into 'old world pleasure gardens", providing an escape for Sydney-siders to savour the tranquility of English gardens, and engage in picnics andactivities such as
