 Wattamolla is a tranquil lagoon that opens into a beach and a sheltered cove. Known after its aboriginal title, Watta-Mowlee, the name was first recorded by Mathew Flinders, a famous explorer who was instrumental in the naming of Australia itself. The term means "place near running water", a mention to the waterfall
that runs into the lagoon. Wattamolla is loved by families for its calm, clear water and sheltered banks. It also houses a number of charming picnic areas, and a vast array of natural wonders waiting to be discovered.
